We had a small gathering at home and got catering from Gourmet Basket. The food was absolutely delicious and every single guest raved about it. Nabila was extremely healpful helping me put the menu together and both her and Zalfa were delightful when I came to pick up the meal. The meat pies were incredibly juicy and flavorful, the lamb was perfectly cooked, and the eggplant salad was a huge hit. Not to mention the lentil rice with crispy onion on top. We would definitely recommend this woman-owned business to anyone with catering needs.

I remember one day I decided to do a gathering at my work place for all my colleagues & simi-friendly boss of mine, I brought all catering from this wonderful restaurant! My wife and I have been ordering all kinds of food from The gourmet Basket for many years, either for take out or some times for home catering and we're always happy with the consistency and quality of the food. We highly recommend this place.
This place is the best - I've been coming here since I was a kid, through different ownership of the store. awesome spinach pastries, kibbeh, sfeehah, and recently tried their chicken shawarma, which was bomb.

The freshly made Lebanese preparations such as hummus, baba ghanouge, kibbe, lubieh, spinach pie, sambousik and many more are excellent. During Ramadan they sold many other specialties that I tried and enjoyed - most notably, the qatayef with cream filling - a small round pancake that is folded in half and filled, then deep fried and soaked in fragrant syrup - very delicious!!! I always buy baklava and other phyllo pastries from here - the best that I've found locally and comparable to the Lebanese baklava I've tasted in Dubai. Buttery, flaky, and easy on the syrup. Always crispy and not soggy. I thought they made the baklava in-house but found they are ordered from a supplier in Michigan. The quality has been consistent since I've shopping here for seven years now.
They have Turkish pistachio nuts. I looked all over the Rockville pike and could not find it at multiple grocery stores.
This little place doesn't look like much from the outside. However, they have a nice selection of Lebanese food to take to go. I was pleasantly surprised. Although alittle pricey, the quality is high and I recommend this place.
